Often times we disregard work-related stress because we thought of it as a normal occurrence. What we don't know is that this special type of stress has a much more detrimental effect on us physically and emotionally.
WHO states it is described in dimensions:
1. Feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion.
2. Increased mental distance from one’s job, or feelings of negativism or cynicism related to one’s job.
3. Reduced professional efficacy.
An important difference between stress and burnout is that stress generally just endures a brief period. Executive burnout is the aftereffect of steady pressure, and it can keep going for a delayed period.
A video by David Dardashti educates us on the effects of Executive Burnout and how to handle this type of stress out of our lives.
